STEAM & Robotics Summer Camp

Weekdays from 9am to 3pm

Program:
Our STEAM and Robotics camp is a great opportunity for kids to try our comprehensive robotics program.

Whether your child is new to robotics or an advanced technology wizard, we offer customized learning experiences that cater to their abilities.

Besides LEGO robotics young engineers engage in many other activities throughout the day such as coding with Scratch,Lego modeling, Inventors club, 3D modeling with TinkerCad, and game programming, makerspace, and of course arts to give our children a fully comprehensive experience.

This summer we are blasting off into space exploring our solar system and beyond while focusing on exciting topics like:
– Stars and constellations
– Establishing a base on Mars
– Exploring the outer planets and their moons
– Searching for exoplanets, and looking for life beyond our own planet



STEAM LAB

STEAM and VexIQ Robotics Summer Camp

ages 8-16yrs

Schedule:
Summer 2024
Full day from 9am to 3pm

The Renaissance Child’s STEAM and Robotics camp is a great opportunity for kids to try out our comprehensive robotics program. Robotics incorporates and helps to develop critical thinking & problem solving, communication, collaboration, and creativity & innovation.

Our extensive camp will give them ample time to understand these core principles. They will require brain-storming, research, building, testing, and troubleshooting in a collaborative environment. Whether your child is new to robotics or has previous experience, all will be able to join forces and expand their knowledge in building and coding.

With the open-ended robotics challenges we prepare, kids will collaborate with each other to find solutions. We also arrange various fun and engaging art and science projects to give children a fully comprehensive experience. This Summer Camp offers VEX IQ Robotics, Game Design in Unity, Coding with Python, and 3D Design in Blender.

VEX IQ Robotics Summer Camp

ages 9-16yrs

Schedule:
06/26-09/01
Half day from 9am to 12pm

VEX IQ brings Robotics and Computer Science to life for all students at all skill levels. This class gives kids a chance to design, build, and program a VEX IQ robot and then solve a series of exciting challenges while developing their skills. Students will learn three different coding languages – Block-based, Python, and C++. Our Vex Certified Teachers will teach kids how to configure and drive a robot and develop programming skills quickly. In the fall our robotics team can participate in the VEX Robotics Competition.

For the summer:

-Build and program the weekly challenge: There will be a different challenge every week. Challenges could be anything from robot sumo wrestling to ball shooters.

– Design a robot for next year’s VEXIQ Challenge game. Get a head start on their competition robot for the fall.

– Work on a robot or contraption from their imagination. Last year the pizza bot was a huge hit and ended up on display in our window.
