ages 0-3

Montessori-based classes promote self-expression and prepare children for academic success. These classes support cognitive and sensory development and encourage a love of learning.

interpersonal, and unique skills that will help them learn and grow.

OUR CAMPS

There’s no limit to learning at The Renaissance Child. We offer a range of NJ State Certified Summer Programs where your child can explore their intellectual curiosity in the safest, most capable hands. Each of our instructors is CPR-certified and ready to implement a range of STEAM- based learning experiences and curricula.

Our camps include the Explorer’s Camp for ages 3 to 5, the Technology Bootcamp for ages 8 to 14, the Robotics and STEAM Camp for ages 6 to 10, and the Days Off School Camps for kids aged 6 to 10.

Elena Melamed

Elena Melamed is the founder, creative director, teacher, and First LEGO League Coach. Elena Melamed is passionate about education. A classically trained musician, she earned a master’s degree from Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

Elena is particularly passionate about helping kids become excited about learning as they uncover their true potential. She believes in giving children the opportunity to develop in an environment that helps them become well-rounded individuals. She encourages kids to explore, experiment and ask questions. She also partners with parents to help children address their developmental or emotional needs and achieve their true potential now and into the future.

Lisa Greenhut is a head of our LEGO Robotics and Engineering Program. Lisa is a science educator, curriculum developer with 20 years of classroom experience ranging from pre-K students to 7th grade, and a First Lego League Coach.

Megan Yim

Megan Yim began as a counselor at Camp Sunshine and Camp Snowflake for individuals with special needs. She later became a tutor, excelling in the J.P. Morgan Chase Generation Tech Program, where her team secured the #1 tech solution among 150 high school

Megan Yim started as a counselor at Camp Sunshine and Camp Snowflake, a space for individuals with special needs. She then became a tutor, teaching both groups classes and individuals. Megan participated in the 2022 J.PMorgan Chase Generation Tech Program and her team was awarded the #1 tech solution amongst 150 high school students across the US. A sophomore at Stevens Institute of Technology, she currently studies Computer Science. She is a Martha Bayard Stevens Scholarship recipient and has participated in machine learning and decision-making research groups. Because of her passion for technology, she loves teaching STEM and hopes to inspire wonder and curiosity in all of her students. She enjoys teaching as it allows her to show students a different side of Computer Engineering and how to turn it into a successful skill.

She is currently a member of the Student Managed Fund and Rutgers Finance Society, where she interacts with technology in various ways. She has previously won multiple art and fashion competitions, displaying her creative drive. She has taken multiple information technology classes and has a Google data analytics certificate. For more than 4 years she has dedicated herself to tutoring kids, finding deep satisfaction in guiding them towards success. She loves teaching robotics to kids because it's super rewarding to see children learn about coding while having fun and utilizing their creativity in LEGO creations.
