The Renaissance Child is proud to work with a dedicated team of teachers and instructors who are passionate, experienced, and ready to help your child gain the skills they need for life-long success. Each of our unique team members has a wealth of skills and unique gifts, but all of them share the same compassion, patience, and true love of learning!

Elena Melamed

Elena Melamed is the founder, creative director, teacher, and First LEGO League Coach. Elena Melamed is passionate about education. A classically trained musician, she earned a master’s degree from Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

A classically trained musician, she earned a master’s degree from Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Elena is particularly passionate about helping kids become excited about learning as they uncover their true potential. She believes in giving children the opportunity to develop in an environment that helps them become well-rounded individuals. She encourages kids to explore, experiment and ask questions. She also partners with parents to help children address their developmental or emotional needs and achieve their true potential now and into the future.

Lisa Greenhut

Lisa Greenhut is a head of our LEGO Robotics and Engineering Program. Lisa is a science educator, curriculum developer with 20 years of classroom experience ranging from pre-K students to 7th grade, and a First Lego League Coach.

She received her B.A. from Brown University and M.A. in Elementary and Special Education from Bank Street College. Lisa Greenhut, a science educator and curriculum developer in the Adventures in Science Program of the American Museum of Natural History.

Lasha Areshidze is an adept digital designer. Though he specializes in 3D modeling and graphic design, he is experienced in many other areas of computer graphics and design such as 3D printing, video editing, game design, and more.

Lasha Areshidze is an adept digital designer. Though he specializes in 3D modeling and graphic design, he is experienced in many other areas of computer graphics and design such as 3D printing, video editing, game design and more. He is passionate not only about his creative work, but also about passing on his knowledge and fostering the creativity of others. After graduating from New Jersey Institute of Technology, he has had a hand in many creative projects, and has held a volunteer teaching position. He is always excited to teach children and develop innovative learning programs for them. He loves to listen to students and guide them through their creative process so that they can come up with unique solutions. At the end of the day, Lasha always seeks to help his students create masterpieces that are not only functional, but beautiful as well.

OUR CAMPS

There’s no limit to learning at The Renaissance Child. We offer a range of NJ State Certified Summer Programs where your child can explore their intellectual curiosity in the safest, most capable hands. Each of our instructors is CPR certified and ready to implement a range of STEAM- based learning experiences and curricula.

Our camps include the Explorer’s Camp for ages 3 to 5, the Technology Bootcamp for ages 8 to 14, the Robotics and STEAM Camp for ages 6 to 10, and the Days Off School Camps for kids aged 6 to 10.
